Elon Musk Sparks Controversy with Comments on Transgender Individuals Among White Youth in America

American billionaire Elon Musk, owner of the "X" platform and "SpaceX" company, has sparked widespread controversy following his comments on the reasons behind the rise of transgenderism among white youth in the United States.
Musk wrote on his "X" account that "the ongoing propaganda portraying white males as the worst humans" is a major reason behind some of them transitioning. He added: "If these lies are believed, especially during the fragile teenage years, and then they are given the opportunity to belong to a celebrated group, some will do it."
These comments come at a time when recent data indicates that over 2.8 million people in the United States identify as transgender, including about 724,000 youth aged 13 to 17.
The study, conducted by the Williams Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles, relied on federal surveys and data from health agencies, concluding that the increase in the percentage of transgender youth reflects a more accepting social environment that allows them to express their true identity, and does not reflect what some opponents describe as "social contagion."
