Armenia and Pakistan Open a New Diplomatic Chapter by Signing an Agreement to Establish Official Relations

Armenia and Pakistan have officially announced the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, following a meeting between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and his Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in China.
The statement issued by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed both parties' satisfaction with the step, noting the discussion of prospects for bilateral cooperation in various fields. Mirzoyan also reviewed Armenia's efforts to achieve stable peace in the South Caucasus during the meeting, emphasizing the importance of enhancing stability between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
At the end of the meeting, the foreign ministers signed an official document to launch diplomatic relations, paving the way for future cooperation between Armenia and Pakistan.
